TABLE BOOKING – TERMS AND CONDITIONS

PLEASE NOTE: When you make a Table Booking at Gigi Gao’s Favourite Authentic Chinese restaurant you are entering into a direct contract with the restaurant.

For the safety of our guests and staff alike you MUST comply with our COVID-19 guidelines. Failure to do so may result in our refusal to serve you and your party.

  • None of the guests within your party may dine with us if they are displaying any symptoms linked with Covid-19.

  • All bookings comprising more than 6 people must be made up of no more than two households.

  • For all reservations we require a pre-paid deposit of £10.00 per person to secure your booking. This deposit is redeemable against the cost of your meal, but is non-refundable should we fail to receive a cancellation notice in accordance with these Table Booking Terms & Conditions.

  • The restaurant will only accept telephone bookings during restricted hours, details of which will be clearly indicated on its website. NO bookings will be allowable via social media and the restaurant reserves the right to accept Table Bookings by ONLY Online Booking via it’s website at www.favouritechinese.co.uk – especially during prime times of service, during which time the telephone system maybe switched off.

  • The person booking the table accepts responsibility for being the prime contact should the health authorities require to contact you regarding Track and Trace. Should we discover, prior to your party attending, that any party has given us false information during booking, i.e. wrong or fictitious name or false or fictitious telephone number/email address, then the restaurant has the right to cancel the booking, and the deposit will be forfeited in favour of the restaurant by way of an administration fee.

  • We ask for 24 hours WRITTEN notice of cancellation or a reduction in numbers, and reservations that fail to give this notice will automatically lose their Deposit fee of £10.00 per person.

  • Should the table numbers reduce then those not attending will lose their deposit and we will NOT allow for their deposit to be offset against the bill for the remaining group.

  • Should diners attempt to attend the venue on any other day prior to the day for which you have booked, the restaurant has a right to turn you away, regardless of you having paid a deposit in advance for another day in the future. PLEASE NOTE: We periodically close our booking system for a reason. Please do not try and abuse our service at the cost to other diners.  

  • On arrival and during the period in attendance at the venue please follow the social distancing instructions displayed at the restaurant.

  • All tables are allocated a max 2 hour dining time. Should your party arrive anything up to 15 minutes later than the agreed booked time, then the two hours allocation will be reduced accordingly.

  • Please remain at your allocated table and do not move furniture – children MUST be kept under full control and cannot roam around the restaurant unaccompanied.

  • Please do not arrive with more people in your party for which you have booked; we cannot guarantee availability, due to the need for social distancing and the sensitive nature of arranging/locating tables within certain measurable parameters as directed by the Welsh Government.

  • Please contact us if you are running late; we will hold a table for max 15 minutes only, but will release it if we haven’t heard from you, subject to demand. We cannot then guarantee your party a table, but will endeavour to try to fit you in later, at the restaurant’s discretion.

  • We respectfully request that all bills be carefully checked and settled before leaving the premises especially in light of the Government’s ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ discount offer during the month of August. Customers’ challenges to the bill will NOT be entertained nor rectified by the restaurant once customers have vacated the premises.

  • Gigi Gao’s Favourite Authentic Chinese reserves the right to vary these Terms & Conditions without prior advance notice nor advice or notification to its customers.

We are an independent restaurant and therefore rely on reservations being honoured to ensure our continued success. We kindly ask that, should you need to modify your reservation, you do so as soon as possible. You can do so via your Online Booking Confirmation which was sent to you during booking.
